Josephine's nurturing and light-hearted teaching style creates a comfortable and non-intimidating environment for practicing yoga. She aims to make the experience of learning yoga an individual journey by engaging with each student to establish what will be a fulfilling practice for them in their current body.

CLASSES
MAHONIA STUDIO

Middle Path
An excellent class for those who would like a sound understanding of the core teachings. Alignment, breathing, modifications and intention for each pose will be presented and built upon to create a strong foundation for a lifelong practice

just guys
Just as the name suggests, this class is for men only. We will work with releasing chronic tightness in hips & hamstrings, strengthening the core to support the back and play with upper body strength. All levels of ability & experience, including total beginners, are welcome.

challenging
This physical practice will be a continual flow of asanas to build internal heat to detoxify and warm us from the inside. A good understanding of the Sun Salutation sequence and a strong body awareness are required for this fun, challenging class.

Mindfulness Meditation
Based in the Buddha’s teachings, these classes include instruction, guided meditation practice, and time for questions/reflections. Everyone is welcome.

If you’re looking for a more personal approach to exploring yoga, you may benefit from a one-on-one private class. Whether you are new to yoga, working with health challenges or wanting to develop a home practice, Josephine offers you her focused attention, experience and knowledge to create a custom session just for you.

QUADRA COMMUNITY CENTRE

Mondays 10 -11:30AM
Mindfulness focused yoga gives us an opportunity to slow down and observe what we are experiencing in each moment. Through movement, breathing, relaxation and reflection, we explore and care for the physical body, the mind and heart. This class is open to all levels of experience and ability.
