Hatha Yoga & Meditation for all levels of ability
Breath - Movement - Relaxation - Meditation. Hatha Yoga classes with Josephine are a gentle reminder to enjoy the body you have, the person you are and everything you are experiencing, in each moment. The practice encourages an understanding of the physical body, and through movement, conscious breathing and observation, we discover the subtleties of our true nature.

* Class Descriptions:
Advanced practice: suitable for anyone with at least 2 years of yoga practice and/or a strong body/mind awareness. We will explore more challenging asanas, sequences, pranayama techniques and mudras. Time will be given to the introduction of yoga philosophy and history.
Gentle Flow: open to everyone that would like to move~breathe~contemplate. Learn to move into and out of the poses with ease, breathing and listening. Variations & modifications will be offered to encourage everyone to find their own practice.
Just Guys: just as the name would suggest, this class is for men only. Perfect for any men that have felt daunted by being surrounded by a group of beautiful flexible women. We will work with releasing chronic tightness in hips & hamstrings, strengthening the core to support the back and playing with upper body strength. All levels of ability & experience are welcome.
Yoga 101 ~ A good Place to Start: we will be easing our way into the basics of the commonly practiced poses and breathing exercises, giving time to explore modifications for abilities and/or injuries. This is the class for people who say they are not flexible enough to do yoga, or they are waiting until their back gets better, or until they retire. No excuses now, this class is for you.
Hot Flow: get ready to sweat! This physical practice will be a continual flow of asanas to build internal heat to detoxify and warm us from the inside. A good understanding of the sun salutations and a strong body awareness are required for this fun, fast flowing class.
Foundation: an excellent class for those who have been hesitant to start yoga because they don't know what to expect, as well as for any student who would like a better understanding of the basic practice. Alignment, breathing, modifications and intention for each pose will be presented and built upon throughout the series to create a strong foundation.
